
My Approach
Mental Health Counselor MHC- LP, Cherish Dawn Bookless, offers in-person therapy sessions in her Greenwich Village office, as well as virtual sessions for her clients. She understands the severity of the pandemic that caused many people to lose jobs, so she offers discounted rates/ sliding scales for individuals who qualify. Cherish believes there is no one type of therapy that fits all, so she individualizes a therapeutic plan to meet each individual's personal needs and goals. Cherish is passionate about working with each individual to discover their truest and fullest potential. Many individuals Cherish works with may fully benefit from a holistic approach that focuses on mindfulness, meditation with positive self-talk, deep empathic listening, and therapeutic presence. Sometimes a more direct and/or integrated approach is necessary. Therefore, Cherish may integrate a more firm approach, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps clients navigate long-standing negative behavior patterns or negative self-talk that may be holding them back from achieving their fullest potential.
